1. Who operates Moot and what these terms cover

Moot World is operated by Darkhorse and Bandit LLC, a United States company, under the Darkhorse & Bandit product brand. “Moot,” “we,” “us” and “our” in these terms refer to Darkhorse and Bandit LLC. Our business correspondence address is 234 Brookwood Drive, Franklin, North Carolina 28734, United States. Contact us at support@moot.world.

These terms apply to moot.world, the Moot Discord Activity and our companion bot. By using these services, you agree to these terms. If you use Moot for a server or organization, you must have authority for the actions you take on its behalf. You do not become responsible for another member’s financial obligations merely by administering a server.

The website currently provides product information, concept artwork, guides and support links. The Activity and bot are in private testing. Public website accounts, uploads, a shared public creations catalog and paid subscriptions are not currently offered. Descriptions of planned features and proposed pricing are not an offer to sell them or a guarantee of their release.

2. Age and Discord requirements

You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age that applies in your country to use Moot’s Discord services. If local law requires a parent or legal guardian to agree to these terms, they must do so before you use Moot. Moot is not intended for children below that minimum age.

You need an eligible Discord account and access to a participating server to use the Activity or bot. The Discord Terms of Service and Discord Community Guidelines continue to govern your use of Discord. Moot does not replace or override those rules, and Discord’s rules control if there is a conflict affecting Discord services. These terms are between you and us; Discord is not a party to this agreement or responsible for our service.

Moot is independently developed. References to Discord describe compatibility and do not imply sponsorship, partnership or endorsement.

3. Your account, permissions and voice

Sign in through Discord’s authorization flow. Never give Moot your Discord password, a bot token or a personal account token. Keep your account secure and use only permissions you actually hold. A server administrator’s installation does not authorize you to access another server or a restricted room.

Walking, sitting, changing availability and using a portal change your character’s state in Moot. They do not change your Discord call. Voice changes use Discord’s native controls or an explicit Join voice action that you request. Discord supplies voice and native camera calls; Moot does not receive or record their audio or video. Speaking and camera indicators can be unavailable or delayed, and a missing indicator does not establish that someone is silent or absent.

Server administrators and authorized editors control layouts, room mappings and member submissions. They may approve or remove assets, disable submissions and reset inappropriate character or workspace customization. Their decisions and Discord permissions affect what you can see or do. Members remain responsible for following their server’s rules.

4. Keep the space safe and respect others

Use Moot lawfully and respect other people’s rights, privacy and call boundaries. Do not use it to harass, threaten, exploit or impersonate anyone; share illegal material; expose another person’s private information; or create or distribute sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, explicit adult sexual content, hate or violent extremist material. The current service is intended to be appropriate for teenage users.

Do not circumvent Discord’s age, privacy or permission controls, operate a self-bot, scrape member data, steal credentials, submit malicious code or unsafe files, overload the service, evade moderation or manipulate engagement. Do not place secrets, financial information, health information or other sensitive personal information in asset labels, artwork, commands or map descriptions.

For an immediate risk, use Discord’s reporting tools and appropriate local emergency services. Moot is not an emergency service, an attendance system or a substitute for server moderation.

5. Your creations and the server library

You retain any rights you have in the artwork, models, textures, costumes and layouts you create. Submit or import only material you have permission to use, edit and share in the intended way. Keep required credit and license information. An AI-generated image or an asset’s license label does not prove that you own the necessary rights.

When you submit content to Moot, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store, reproduce, render, technically adapt and make that content available for the features you request, including the server catalog and exports you choose. We may use our hosting providers and provide content to Discord as needed to present and operate the Activity under Discord’s developer terms. This permission is limited to operating, maintaining and moderating those features, subject to the visibility you select and these terms; it does not transfer your ownership or authorize unrelated commercial exploitation.

Pending or rejected member assets are available to their submitter and authorized editors. Approval makes an asset available in the server’s shared Moot catalog, including when it is placed in a private room. Approval is not a copyright clearance or consent to publish on the public internet. Map and asset exports can be shared outside the server by the person exporting them. The permission or license accompanying the material determines what recipients may do with it.

The public creations library is planned. These terms do not silently apply a Creative Commons license, publish private submissions globally or grant every other user a public remix license. Any future public publication will require a clear publication choice and disclosed license terms. Existing recipients may retain rights already granted under a valid license even if you later remove a listing.

We and server editors may remove content that violates these terms or applicable rights. Report a copyright, trademark or privacy concern to support@moot.world with the location of the material, the reason for your concern and information that lets us contact you. We may ask for evidence and limit access while reviewing it. Substantiated repeated infringement or attempts to evade content restrictions can result in removal of content or suspension of access; contact support if you want a decision reviewed. We do not claim that this contact is a registered DMCA agent or that the service has qualified for a statutory safe harbor.

6. Privacy and your choices

Our Privacy Policy explains the data used by the website, Activity and bot, who can see it and how to request correction or deletion. Server visibility and website publication are separate. We do not sell Discord API data or use it for advertising.

You can reset character preferences, release a desk and withdraw your submitted assets through the available controls. /moot forget removes your saved character, owned workspace preferences and submitted assets from that server’s active Moot store. Contact support@moot.world for a privacy request, including if you no longer have access to that server. Removing the bot does not itself erase previously exported files.

7. Current access and future paid plans

There is no paid checkout or automatic charge in the current private test or marketing website. The Pricing page describes proposed launch plans and clearly marks their status. Trial length, capacity, supported prices and billing availability must be confirmed before purchase becomes possible.

If paid plans are introduced, the purchase flow will disclose the provider, price, taxes, benefits, renewal interval, cancellation and refund terms before you commit. Payments through Discord will also be governed by the applicable Discord purchase terms. We will not treat a planning page or your use of the current test as consent to a subscription.

8. Availability, changes and ending use

Moot is under active development. Features may change, and the private test has no uptime guarantee. Network outages, Discord changes, device limitations and maintenance can interrupt it. Keep your own copies of creations you need to retain. Do not rely on Moot for emergency communication or sensitive business records.

You may stop using Moot at any time. An authorized server administrator may remove the bot using Discord. We may restrict or suspend access to address misuse, security, legal obligations or the end of a test. Where appropriate, we will explain a restriction and let you contact support@moot.world to request review; we may limit details where necessary for privacy, safety or a legal requirement. Data removal remains governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We may update these terms as the service develops. We will change the date and version on this page. Material changes that affect your use will be brought to your attention through an appropriate service notice before they take effect where required. Newly offered paid or public publishing features may require additional acceptance.

9. Service limitations and your legal rights

To the extent allowed by applicable law, the current service is provided as available without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for another member’s conduct merely because it occurs in a server using Moot. These statements do not exclude responsibilities or remedies that the law requires us to provide.

Nothing in these terms removes non-waivable consumer rights, prevents a complaint to a regulator or limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited. These terms do not impose a mandatory arbitration clause or a class-action waiver. Contact support@moot.world first if you want us to help resolve a problem. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
